Day 1

AIRPORT > PINNAWALA > HABARANA (190 kms and approximately 04 to 05 hours journey)

Arrival at Colombo, Bandaranayke International Airport. On arrival greeting and welcome by a representative of Adventure De Ceylon.
Visit the Pinnawela elephant orphanage en route.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - is a home for about 60 elephants (out of which around 50 are baby elephants) found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authority. The best time for your visit is at 9 in the morning, when you will have the opportunity of seeing these ‘babes’ being bottle-fed. You could also see the elephants having their daily baths at a river close by.

Day 2

HABARANA > SIGIRIYA > POLONNARUWA > MINNERIYA > HABARANA (115 kms and approximately 03 to 04 hours journey)

After Breakfast, Proceed to Visit Sigiriya Rock fortress.

Sigiriya, a massive rock in the green scrub jungle, is perhaps the most memorable place for visitors to Sri Lanka. The site was known from ancient times as a hermitage for Buddhist monks. A well-planed monastic complex included caved temples, bathing pools, lovely ponds and Asia's oldest surviving landscaped gardens. Today Sigiriya is famous for its frescoes painted in the pocket of the rock. The "Lion stairway", the "mirror wall" and the "water gardens" are it's other highlights.

Continue to Polonnaruwa,
Do a city tour of Polonnaruwa (2h30 visit), Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka in 11th and 12th centuries AD which too a world heritage site. You will see here famous Gal Viharaya where four splendid statues of Lord Buddha.

Proceed to Minneriya and do a safari of the Minneriya National Park by jeep 4x4. The extent of the Minneriya National Park is about 8,889 hectares. There are wet-lands in this National Park, which have international importance, animal and plant species, which are plenty in dry zone, are found in this park. Wild elephants, various amphibians, local and immigrant bird species are plenty in this park.

Day 3

HABARANA > DAMBULLA > KANDY (101 kms and approximately 02 to 03 hours journey)

After Breakfast, Proceed to Dambulla,

Visit the Dambulla Rock temple where you will climb the rock. (1h30 visit) This temple was donated by King Walagambahu in the first century BC to monks. This is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples, is a complex of five caves with over 2000sq meters of paintings and these caves contains over 150 images.

Proceed to Matale,
Spice Gardens - visit a spice garden to see the different spices that Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.

Arrive to Kandy & Check into Hotel for Overnight.
Day 4

KANDY > PERADENIYA > KANDY (15 kms and approximately 30 minutes journey)

After Breakfast, visit the Gem museum, Kandy Buddhist museum & City Tour.

Proceed to Peradeniya & Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden.
Peradeniya - Botanical Gardens was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers.

Continue to Kandy.
The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1806, visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts center and a gem museum and lapidary. The evening is the best time to visit the temple of the tooth relic and thereafter witness a traditional cultural dance show.

Day 5

KANDY > KITULGALA > NUWARA ELIYA (132 kms and approximately 03 hours journey)

After Breakfast, Proceed to Kitulgala.

Do White Water Rafting in Kitulgala.

En route visit Devon & St. Clears Waterfalls.

Leave to Nuwara Eliya, En route visit a Tea factory & Tea Estate.

Tea Plantation - visit a tea plantation and a tea factory where one the best teas in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea and also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Arrive to Nuwara Eliya & Check-in to the hotel for Overnight.
Day 6


After Breakfast Leave to Horton Plains.

Horton Plains in Sri Lanka, is the coldest and windiest location in the country. It consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, Horton Plains spreads across over 3,169 hectares of the highest tableland of the island. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species, Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010.

In the evening visit the City of Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya - is Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country producing 50% of the world’s best tea. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 ft) is located here. Nuwara Eliya is the location for one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in Asia.

Day 7

NUWARA ELIYA > ELLA (60 kms and approximately 02 hours journey)

After Breakfast leave to Ella. En route visit Seeta Amman kovil in Seeta Eliya.

Arrive to Ella & Check into Hotel. Relax at the Hotel rest of the Day.
Day 8


After Breakfast, Engage on the following Activities :

1. Visit Adam’s Peak.
2. Visit the 9 arch bridge.

Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 9

ELLA > YALA (90 kms and approximately 02 hours journey)

After Breakfast, Leave to Yala. Visit the Ravana Falls en route.
Arrive & Check into Hotel.

In the evening, do jeep safari at the Yala National Park.
Yala - Situated 309 kms south of Colombo, Yala is approximately 1259 kms in extent and is located in the southeastern corner of the Island. The terrain is varied, flat plains alternating with rocky out crops. The vegetation ranges from open parkland to dense jungle. The specialty here is the large numbers of Elephants. Yala is the largest national park in Sri Lanka and is the home of wild elephants, wild boar, wild buffalo, leopard, bear, deer and crocodiles. Visitors can also see large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds.

Day 10

YALA > GALLE > BENTOTA (235 kms and approximately 04 to 05 hours journey)

After Breakfast, Leave Bentota . Visit the Galle City en route.

Galle is the south coast’s major city, whose oldest landmark is the massive 17th century Portuguese and Dutch Fort in which the central city is contained. The journey to Galle is along the palm-fringed beaches passing Hikkaduwa with its beautiful “coral gardens” and exotic tropical fish. Visit the Dutch Fort and the city of Galle. As you walk through the streets you can see strong Dutch influences in the architecture, along with some old British residences and various mosques with Arabic touches.

Arrive to Bentota & Check into Hotel for Overnight.
Day 11


After Breakfast, Leisure by the beach or by the pool on Booked Basis.

The Following activities can be Visiting during your stay.

1. Turtle hatchery (Farm)
2. River Safari at Madu River.

BENTOTA > COLOMBO (65 KMS and approximately 02 hour journey)

After Breakfast Proceed to Colombo. Check in to the Hotel.

Visit the City of Colombo City & Shopping Tour in the evening.
Colombo - visit fort and Pettah areas and drive past the 100-year-old clock tower, the old parliament and several British built, colonial buildings. Other places of interest are, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo museum, the Bandaranaike memorial international conference hall (BMICH). Also visit the ceramics corporation showrooms, the ODEL unlimited dress boutique and the majestic city shopping complex.

Day 13

COLOMBO > AIRPORT DEPARTURE (36 kms and approximately 01 hour journey)

After Breakfast proceed to Airport for the departure.
