The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is accepted to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. It is situated in the illustrious royal residence complex of the previous Kingdom of Kandy. The legend of the tooth started in 313AD.
